Compute resources are the foundations of cloud computing infrastructure. By choosing the right compute resource, your applications will experience greater efficiency and have better performance. However, choosing the wrong resource type may hurt your application’s performance.
The correct compute resource depends on your application. Different applications may require different compute resources. We will discuss many compute resource types. The type of compute resource you need depends on what needs your application provides. For example, if your application is building a database, you would need to choose a database compute resource. If your application is a task queue, you would need to choose a task queue compute resource. If your application is a storage resource, you would choose a storage compute resource. Below we discuss some more common compute resources.
Region based compute resource is compute resource type. It is based on physical location and cuts across projects. You can run compute resources on different physical servers based on the specified project.
