You can assign the keystrokes to a letter or to a range of letters, and you can organize the Keymacros and actions into groups, making it easier to access them when needed.
Keymacro allows you to place keystrokes and actions into groups, called Keymacro Sets. For example, you can organize your daily document management checklist into sets. Each set is assigned a letter, so you can have a set of document management Keymacros with a letter assigned to each one. If you need to use the document management Keymacro set, simply press the letter that is assigned to that set, and the actions are executed.
KEYMACRO displays Keymacro groups and Keymacro sets in the Keymacro editor. To add a new set or group, click the plus (+) button at the bottom of the Keymacro groups list. You can also add Keymacro sets to a current Keymacro group.
When you assign a keystroke or action to a Keymacro set, Keymacro displays the keystrokes or actions for that set in the Keymacro list.
KEYMACRO is available in InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop.
KEYMACRO can be used to create a simple daily document management checklist, such as the one shown in the screenshot below.
The checklist includes actions and keystrokes that could be used to edit and send documents on a daily basis.
Actions and keystrokes in the checklist are grouped into three sets:
Document Management Actions are keystrokes assigned to the set ‘doc management’.
Daily Actions are keystrokes assigned to the set ‘daily’ for the documents that need to be added to the document management set.
Send Email Actions are keystrokes assigned to the set’send email’.
