– Application is designed for practicing reading music using a midi keyboard device.
– For the convenience of users that have a midi keyboard device connected to the computer and doesn’t want to use a midi piano for practicing,
we provide a preset input MIDI device, so you don’t need to worry about which midi keyboard device you want to use as input.
– The feedback of position is shown by a small red pentagram in the center of the current note and a tall red or yellow pentagram depending on which is the output device.
– There are three positions to indicate the octave of the currently played note, one for the C note (this is the default), one for the D note, and one for the E note.
– The feedback of direction is shown by a small arrow pointing rightwards or leftwards for the currently played notes.
– The feedback of the current note is indicated at a normal size for the C note, and an enlarged one for the minor and major seconds.
– The currently playing notes are shown by different colors depending on their octaves.
The application allows you to:
– Practice recognition of the note name or number
– Enable the application for only one note if you don’t want to practice multiple notes at once.
– Specify a different note to be the currently playing one if you want to practice recognizing two or more notes at the same time.
– Select the octave to indicate a different note.
You can also set the ‘Currently Playing Number’ to be the current playing number of the currently playing note if you want to practice targeting the current note on the score.
You can store your notes in order to return to practice any note later.
To open the application:
– Open the application by clicking on the icon.
– Go to “Settings” to configure the settings of application.
– Go to “Preferences” to set other options.
Instructions:
– If you don’t have a midi keyboard device connected to the computer, select the input device by clicking “next” on the keyboard.
