There is no best software to do all types of drawings. If you need to draw something specific that no other software can do, you should use a specialized CAD software. Whether it is AutoCAD or Inventor, it is a software application that helps you to do drawings and design.

AutoCAD Architecture

An Autodesk made software is dependant on the devices like, Graphic display, Keyboard, Mouse, printer, etc. The graphic display which is called DPI (Dots per inch) is the first requirement for the computer. For CAD, a minimum display resolution of 300 dots per inch is recommended. Autodesk supplied with that graphic display which can cover the DPI of 300.

Keyboard is the primary human input device for creating, storing and modifying the drawings. Every key on the keyboard represents a letter in alphabet. The keyboard has a QWERTY layout and can be rearranged to some other layout.

The mouse is the secondary human input device for inserting and deleting the objects.

The printer prints the drawings and text to the paper.

The LCD display can help you to find the information or control the other parts.

AutoCAD History

The AutoCAD started its first version in 1982. This first version of AutoCAD could only save drawings on HP 8″ floppy disks. In 1986, the second version of AutoCAD was released and it was composed on word processing file. For storing the file on floppy disks, the 3270 emulator was used. The computer network wasn’t used for storing the drawings as AutoCAD was not a network application.

The first version of AutoCAD wasn’t free. In 1990, AutoCAD 2.0 was released. In this version of AutoCAD, the support of network was started. In the version of AutoCAD, the Zooming, Panning, and Graphics settings were supported. In the same year, the version of AutoCAD called AutoCAD for Windows 2.0. In this version of AutoCAD, the support of graphics printers was added. In the same year, the version of AutoCAD was called AutoCAD 2.1.

In the version of AutoCAD 2.1, the system date, time, and computer name settings were added. In the version of AutoCAD 2.5, the margin settings were added. In

Windows application start via batch file, shell

I’m working on a Windows application (written in VB.NET) that is to be started from a Windows batch file, preferably passing arguments to the program.
I have a simple.bat file which opens a.vbs file:
Start “” C:\Program Files\APP.EXE arg1 arg2

The program simply passes the arguments to a Winform and starts the application.
Is there a simple way to get my.bat to also pass a file to the.vbs application as arguments?
I’ve tried using

Start “” C:\Program Files\APP.EXE “arg1” “arg2”

which I got from this question on But this results in the standard “Program or folder not found” error.

You will need to launch the.vbs file and send the arguments to it, via its command-line.
It is actually a good idea to launch the.vbs file from within a separate.bat file.
Just make sure that the.bat file that starts the.vbs file has a command line of:
“C:\Program Files\APP.EXE” arg1 arg2

The “C:\Program Files\APP.EXE” is the command to launch the.vbs file, and arg1 and arg2 are the arguments to be passed to that.vbs file.

AutoCAD [Mac/Win]

Open Activation\Debug (AutoCAD_2020\Activation\Debug) file.
Launch AutoCAD 2020 and create a new project.
Go to Product\Devices and open the option for “Test menu” > “Using other”.
Select “Show the device properties window” and then press “OK”.
In the opened dialog box, the device info of your drawing should be shown.
Now, if you edit a property of your device (e.g. “HardwareIdentification”, “SerialNumber”) and then close the dialog box, a property of that device can be changed.

Important: there is a chance that this trial version of the software is only capable of running on Autodesk’s proprietary DRM environment, which is currently only available for their iOS and Android platforms. A decision has yet to be made regarding Windows, Mac OS X, and traditional desktop apps (i.e. not iOS/Android).

How to manually trigger a Jenkins server stop process

I have a Jenkins server that is pulling code from a remote Git repo and building on a set of Jenkins jobs.
I would like to be able to manually trigger a Jenkins stop to be put in place to terminate the Jenkins jobs that are running. I would like to be able to do this from any remote computer (say my laptop at work) so that when I get back home and connect my laptop to my home network, the Jenkins jobs are stopped and the Git repos are re-pulled from the remote repo and that is when the jobs restart again.
Can anyone tell me how to do this?

Here’s a simple stop/restart of a Jenkins instance using jenkins.war and maven:
java -jar jenkins.war stop &
echo “Stopped”
mvn clean package
java -jar jenkins.war start
